Altamonte Springs is a suburban city in Seminole County, Florida, United States. This city center incorporates large-scale apartment buildings and planned high-rise condominiums. The construction also includes mixed-use shops and retailers. The park area consists of a square for weddings, festivals, and city holidays. The spot has become popular with Altamonte Springs residents and attracts residents from nearby cities. The city is just a few miles away from the University of Central Florida and Rollins College.

An outdoor town center named ‘Uptown Altamonte’ marks the city’s central business district. Cranes Roost at Uptown Altamonte features a water fountain choreographed to classical, swing, and contemporary music. Serving the needs of residents since 1960, the Altamonte Springs City Library houses a permanent collection of 44,000 items.

Cranes Roost Park at Uptown Altamonte is one of Central Florida’s premier outdoor park venues, with more than one million guests visiting annually. The park hosts many events that cater to various age groups and demographics, including large annual events such as Altamonte Springs’ Independence Day celebration Red Hot & Boom, to small private events for invited guests only.

Maitland is a northern suburb of Orlando, Florida, about 12 miles from downtown Orlando. The town was originally named for a nearby Lake, which honored Captain William Seton Maitland. The City of Maitland has 21 lakes, the largest being Lake Maitland (451 acres). Maitland has a history of strong residential identity, sustained by the beauty of the area and the diverse economy in the region. This history continues today, and the city will maintain and advance this tradition well into the future.

An established “historical corridor” encompasses old residences still standing and occupied in the Lake Lily-Lake Catherine area and extending through the central portion of the city. Finally, A Sun Rail station is located in Maitland on Highway 17-92.
